As we transition into autumn and hit a hot spell of Indian Summer, I mourn the fact that I will soon be saying good bye to my favorite hot weather past time: jumping into crystal clear, beautiful blue green, icy cold swimming holes which are all over the place here in Central Vermont. There are so many that sometimes I choose by deciding whether I want to slide down smooth granite and get dumped into a big pot hole or to wade in slowly, walking on smooth pebbles or to frolic in the churn of a falls or jump from a cliff into a deep blue hole. All versions are fantastic and the most refreshing thing to do when the temps go above 80 degrees. Summer in Vermont is the best!
